Squarespace x Newport Folk Festival 2015

Squarespace is thrilled to return as a partner of the Newport Folk Festival for the third year in a row. This year’s festival marks the 50th Anniversary of the historic moment Bob Dylan went electric at Newport Folk Festival in 1965. The festival has some exciting surprises in store with “‘65 Revisited” - a tribute to this momentous occasion with a surprise lineup and highly anticipated closing show.

This year, we’re bringing back Squarespace Studios (located within the fort) with a movie theatre and lounge, and we have additional surprises in store as well.

Throughout the entire festival, we’ll be offering an exclusive sneak peek of American Epic, a three-part historical documentary and feature-length film, directed by Bernard MacMahon, executive produced by T Bone Burnett, Robert Redford and Jack White, airing this Fall on PBS. American Epic takes us on a journey across time to the birth of modern music, when the musical strands of a diverse nation first combined, sparking a cultural renaissance that forever transformed music in America. We’re very excited to host their newly launched website on Squarespace. We’d also like to thank Sennheiser for making the movie theatre experience possible at the fort this year.

Stay tuned to newportfolk.squarespace.com where we’ll be posting our daily schedule of movie screening times and special additions, including limited edition giveaways, surprise performances, and live interviews. Follow the action on social media with #squarespacestudios and #americanepic.
